3D Models Available on Many Parallax Products (Especially Propeller 2 Line!)

Parallax has published 3D models of many of our popular products, especially around the Propeller 2. You can find these models by visiting the product page and then the associated STEP and VRML formats, which are zipped together as a single download.

STEP Format

Rendered with simplified objects, without text layers.
Ideal for mechanical use.
File size can be reasonably small.
Saved with file extension .step

VRML Format

Rendered with maximum detail, including silk text and graphics layers.
Good for visual applications.
File size can be very large.
Saved with file extension .wrl
Export unit setting is millimeters.

Making use of the 3D Models

The Parallax 3D Models use standard 3D file formats, and should be viewable with your favorite 3D CAD software! For a quick start, download FreeCAD here https://www.freecadweb.org/ or use the online viewer https://3dviewer.net/ with the VRML format.
