Maryland Students Show Their Parallax cyber:bot Projects

Table of Contents

What motivates a student to take an interest in the topic? Agency and experiential learning, where they get control over all the pieces using their hands, mind, and eyes— with the disciplines of electronics, coding, and mechanics. Having a challenge to demonstrate the outcome gives them an opportunity to express themselves and show pride in their work. This is what we’re all about at Parallax, and seeing it reinforced inspires us to continually improve our educational program.

Two students from the Seed School of Maryland had the opportunity to attend a four-day cyber:bot workshop. One of them plans on going into nursing but enjoys learning about coding, and the other is really interested in coding — especially the interaction between the Python scripts and the movement of the cyber:bot.

If you’re interested in learning more about the workshop, I described it in the post entitled Robot Boot Camp Includes Personal Brand Development and Networking Skills.

Nice work by the educators Vinod Akunuri and Victoria Hunter! You embody our “Be the Classroom They Remember!” messaging.
