Our micro:bit Python tutorials were created to support the V2 Python editor — the one with the black background and orange color scheme. Since we started creating these tutorials, the Micro:bit Education Foundation (MEF) released the V3 Python editor, which has many refreshing features, friendly colors, and ease of use. Andy has used the last six months updating our tutorials for the new V3 Editor.
The following Parallax tutorials are now fully updated to use the new V3 Editor:
- cyber:bot
- cybersecurity
- Artificial Intelligence
All of our tutorials for the micro:bit are found here https://learn.parallax.com/microbit. An example of the new Python V3 editor supported by our tutorials is shown here https://learn.parallax.com/tutorials/robot/cyberbot/get-started-microbit-and-python/flash-scripts-python-editor.
The next tutorial we will update is What’s a Microcontroller? with Python. We expect to have this completed during October, too.
