Parallax Contract Manufacturing: American Fabrication of Your Propeller 1 or 2 Product

Dear Community, 

Our Rocklin, California surface mount and through-hole assembly line has excess capacity. We’re caught up on manufacturing our own products and are checking in with our product-developing community to see if you’d like us to assemble your printed circuit boards. Our capacity has periodic openings for the next couple of months, and we can accommodate long-term commitments just as easily.  

We’re not a regular contract manufacturer, as you know. But we do have certain expertise for products that fit these criteria:

• Use the Propeller 1 or 2 as their main processor (as chips, or in the P2-EC or FLiP module formats)
• Some established track record of sales, with reasonably predictable volumes
• Products that share components of our existing product line (we stock over 600 components for our own use and could share the component lists) 

Some of the board-level products we’ve made for others include 3D printer controllers, industrial I/O boards, DEFCON badges, event registration systems, robotic products, and medical devices. Ideal quantities are at least 100-500 units per manufacturing run.
