You’re looking at a technical education instructor who is experiencing the reward of experiential learning with the cyber:bot! One of the students summarized the event like this:

“GCU hosted two GenCyber camps this summer, one for K-12 teachers and one for grades 7-12+ students. Despite the fact that the majority of the teachers were programming novices, they thoroughly enjoyed their cyberbot experience. How much? Ten teachers returned to the GenCyber Student Camp to work with students on cyber:bot day! One of the teachers told me that he wants to use cyber:bots in his physics class for some lessons. They enjoyed how difficult it was, but not so difficult that they couldn’t figure it out.

The students absolutely loved them. Before we finished the walkthroughs, they were already coding the mazes. Many of the students had prior programming knowledge, so once they figured it out, they were off and running. Because the participants were so engrossed in programming the various floor patterns, our staff decided to significantly extend the time given for the cyberbots. Many students responded in the post-camp poll that their favorite part of camp was coding the robots.”

Thank you very much.
