End-of-life notifications are often alarming to our customers, who may worry that our main processor P8X32A (the Propeller 1) is also in some kind of production risk. This is not a concern. The P8X32A is in full production and will be for many years ahead of us. The volumes purchased by our customers are steadily increasing and our production pipeline is very secure at the largest foundry in the world. Often, when we make these announcements we will point to the safety of the Propeller 1’s long-term supply to assure our customers of the future availability. As a small player in the semiconductor market, many customers are used to obsolescence notices from the big manufacturers. Parallax, our community, and our team depend on the revenue of the P8X32A and continue to create new applications around it. We have proven in our 38 years of business that we can provide our core products as long as you need them.
