This September, Parallax has been in business for 35 years. As part of our celebration, we asked our customers to tell us your Parallax story. This is one we received from our community which will be shared throughout the month.
I’m John Huffman, the owner of JonyJib. Most of our products are designed to support some type of broadcast or film camera movement, but we’ve used the Propeller in other unrelated fields as well. We were late to this party, as we only started using Parallax products in 2015, with the P1 being the heart of our motorized pan & tilt camera controller. In the last 7 years, we have built over a dozen products, based on the P1, which are still in use today. Last year we developed our first product based on the P2. We have also integrated wireless control using XBEE S3B 900 MHz radios, 450 MHz radio modems and RS485 over fiber. All products were developed with the coding help and consultation of Jon McPhalen.
