September 10th EduChat Video Details micro:bit 3.0 Python Editor, Learn site migration, and Block Coding for the cyber:bot

Last week’s EduChat video is ready to watch on YouTube. EduChat is our monthly presentation to Parallax educators about what’s new with our programs for electronics, coding, and robotics. On September 10th, Ari, Andy and I covered the following topics in this video:

• New https://learn.parallax.com Our https://learn.parallax.com web site is being moved to WordPress from a Drupal infrastructure which is being retired. If we do our work properly, you won’t even notice any changes. All links will be the same and the curriculum will look just like it has in the past.
• Updating all of the micro:bit Python curriculum to use the micro:bit 3.0 editor in our curriculum, from screenshots to the various animated GIFs that guide students through our series. The changes in appearance and functionality are a tremendous improvement in experience for the student. 
• In-progress Microsoft MakeCode block coding for the cyber:bot. By the end of 2024 Parallax will release a complete block-coding environment and curriculum for the cyber:bot.
