Product Description

The Board Of Education (BOE) is a versatile development platform designed for using any of Parallax’s 24-pin BASIC Stamp microcontroller modules (not included). Its compact size and convenient features make it an ideal tool for the student and educator. For educators, the BOE provides a clean, efficient platform for the original What’s a Microcontroller lessons, or your own BASIC Stamp-based curriculum. It does not include a BASIC Stamp module so you will need to purchase one separately.

Rev E includes an uprated power 5 V power supply to 3 amps from 1 amp to provide more power for projects and servo control. Rev E also features reverse polarity protection at power inputs. In addition, short-circuit protection at all power outputs shuts down the board if needed, minimizing the risk of damage to your project.

About Boe-Bot Robot Support

To use the Board of Education USB Rev E with a Boe-Bot Robot, this 5AA battery pack is required; it is secured to the chassis with Nylon flat-head screws to the rear standoffs. In addition, the servo port shunt jumper must be set to 5V instead of VIN to avoid applying 7.5V to the servos.
