Parallax’s Aristides Alvarez enthusiastically lead an engaging event tailored for STEM educators, organized by the Data Sciences Academy of the University of Arizona, Tucson last weekend.
The event boasted a diverse gathering of K-14 educators, with notable attendees such as the “Navajo Who Code” group, among others.
During this event, we had the privilege of introducing the comprehensive Parallax Educational programs to an audience comprising approximately 45 passionate educators. Following a delicious lunch, the event was divided into two tracks, and we conducted an instructive workshop focused on the micro:bit. In this session, 27 K-12 teachers had the opportunity to explore the micro:bit’s potential, thanks to Parallax’s provision of micro:bit GO kits, which the teachers were able to retain for use in their classrooms.
The size of the room may have given the impression of a sparsely populated gathering when including photographs of the seats. The group picture captures the essence of the event, even though not all the teachers could be present in the frame due to their engagement in various activities.
Thank you Ari for introducing another important group to Parallax curriculum!
