Andy Lindsay of Parallax is in Alexandria, Virginia for the Cyber.org Cyber Educational Discovery Forum (CEDF). CEDF is a professional development event designed to prepare and empower K12 educators to teach cybersecurity topics. The event includes daily workshops, networking, and interaction with curriculum suppliers, like Parallax.
What do cyber:bot robots and Python have in common with cybersecurity? Most new embedded devices will be connected to the internet, so cybersecurity students need hardware and electronics education to understand hardware vulnerabilities (and how to code around them). The cyber:bot is a collaboration between Parallax and Cyber.org, and our curriculum is one of their program’s main educational tools, adopted by districts and states across the country.
