Important update for all schools using BlocklyProp or Parallax IDE on Chromebooks!
Educators, if your classroom is using BlocklyProp (Propeller 1 on an ActivityBot or FLiP Module) or Parallax IDE (for the BASIC Stamp and Boe-Bot) on a Chromebook, you’ll need your school or district IT staff to read our installation instructions linked above.
Google is pulling the plug on this type of Chrome app somewhere in 2028, and our latest installation instructions are a result of their direction. Parallax will need to convert both of these applications to Progressive Web Apps, or a standalone installation to avoid this process. Until we achieve that, educators using Chromebooks with either of these apps will need to have their IT staff follow our instructions.
Windows or Mac operating systems are not affected.
