Interested in the micro:bit and want to learn more? Or maybe you have micro:bit modules for your classroom but don’t know what to do with them? Start here for a 2-hour hands-on guided introduction.
The micro:bit module is ideal for adding a hands-on element to all manner of STEM subjects. With onboard sensors, display, and radio, there is much to do with it alone. Combine it with a robot chassis or electronics kit, and the possibilities grow. Barriers to getting started are minimized with low cost hardware and no-cost, easy-to-use browser based programming tools.
This free workshop is geared to middle school, high school, and college educators teaching STEM subjects. For the best experience, purchase a micro:bit GO Bundle in advance to use during the workshop. If that is not possible, the online micro:bit simulator is also an option.

If you get stuck, email us to education@parallax.com and we will get you going over email or schedule a Zoom meeting.
Once you have completed the Workshop, request a Zoom meeting to show off your new skills and answer a few questions, and we will issue you a certificate of completion for 8 hours of professional development.
