Parallax has a number of active open source software projects such as Propeller GCC, SimpleIDE, and OpenSpin. These projects have been hosted via Google Code since conception, and binary builds of each system have been delivered through Google Code's Downloads section. However; as of January 14, 2014, Google will discontinue hosting binary downloads of this nature, leaving these projects without an integrated solution for built binary distributions.
In order to maintain customer and developer accessibility, Parallax has implemented a solution to this issue using Google Drive that supports the desired organization and distribution of these large binary downloads. Using this new system, our developers can continue to upload and categorize built binaries as needed, advanced open-source users can continue to find and download the items they desire (through a read-only Google Drive interface), and normal users can receive downloads as they are accustomed (through a transparent link to the Google Drive resource from our web sites, such as learn.parallax.com).
