ActivityBot Training with China RobotC in Xi'an

On a plane again…
In my position at Parallax, I often find myself on a plane to many exciting places. Just this year I’ve accumulated over 50,000 miles on my favorite airline. It is always a great pleasure to be able to travel and share my love for Parallax products with students, teachers, and distributors worldwide.
This was no exception during a recent trip to Xi’an China. This was my first time visiting northern China, as all previous trips had been to visit manufacturers in the south. Xi’an is an exciting (albeit smoggy) place, with over 50 universities in the surrounding area.
The purpose of the trip was to give presentations and conduct trainings for the new Propeller ActivityBot at three universities: Shaanxi Normal University, Xi'an Aeronautical Polytechnic Institute, and the Xi'an University of Technology. Shaanxi Normal University was an especially rewarding training for me, as it was the first course I’ve run where the number of women greatly outnumbered the men! I also was welcomed with a lovely sign, and was delighted at their choice of picture.
We are thrilled to partner with our distributor, China RobotC, in order to sell Parallax products to schools and training centers throughout China. It’s pretty exciting to be turning a country with the largest number of exports into a customer! In the days without trainings or presentations, I had the pleasure of working with the China RobotC staff and helping them become more familiar with our products.
I look forward to visiting Xi’an again soon!
