The Official Propeller Conference took place at Parallax headquarters in Rocklin, CA on Saturday, May 4th. The sold out, action packed event had over 100 participants who met to discuss projects using the powerful multi-core Propeller chip. Speakers from across the United States talked about their projects with topics ranging from industry uses to home applications. During the event Parallax announced the new Propeller C Learning System and Propeller Activity Board. The learning system featured on Parallax’s educational site Learn.Parallax.com, includes tutorials, example code, hardware, and software that make it easier to do multi-core programming in C.
After a delicious lunch the crowd's attention was quickly captured by a rapid-fire paintball gun and flying quadcopter robot demos outside. One quadcopter developed by Rick Galinson picked up a miniature robot, flew it around, then landed it safely in front of onlookers. With a mind of its own the robot released itself from the grasp of the copter and headed out on a mission.
On the whole the attendees enjoyed the opportunity to densely packed short-format speaking schedule and opportunity to network and visit with colleagues and Parallax staff.
Parallax would like extend our thanks to everyone who was able to join us for this great event.
