The Prop Clip and Prop Plug each provide a USB-to-serial port connection that is convenient for microcontroller programming and communication. These tiny devices are capable of asynchronous communication at up to 3 M baud with both 3.3-volt and 5.0-volt devices such as the Propeller and BASIC Stamp. The Prop Clip grips onto the edge of a PCB (62.5 mm; 1/16 in, or 31.25 mm; 1/32 in), connecting to the board's four 0.1" spaced, plated-through holes. This allows OEM boards to be manufactured with in-circuit programming capability without the extra cost of additional components or labor. If programming via 0.1" male headers is required, use the Prop Plug instead.
