
This through-hole friendly kit includes the Propeller microcontroller "plus" all the electronic components and connectors needed for a fully functional system on a breadboard or through-hole board.
Also sold as part of the Propeller Education Kit. Prop Plug USB to serial converter (programming/communication tool) sold separately.
Kit Contents:
- P8X32A Propeller Microcontroller - 40-pin DIP package Propeller microcontroller. Excellent for projects and product prototyping.
- 24LC256 EEPROM - 32 KB of non-volatile Propeller microcontroller program storage in an 8-pin DIP package.
- 5 MHz Crystal Oscillator - Accurate to +/- 30 PPM, and excellent for time sensitive applications. The Propeller chip's PLL can multiply this signal up to 80 MHz.
- LM2937 3.3 V Regulator - Provides a 3.3 V supply for the Propeller chip and its EEPROM, and optionally for other 3.3 V circuits in a project or design.
- LM2940 5 V Regulator - Provides an optional 5 V supply for peripheral 5 V circuits. Can also be daisy-chained with the LM2937-3.3 to regulate higher system input supply voltages and/or provide higher current outputs.
- Connectors - Includes 9 V battery clip wired to 0.1 inch spaced pins, a m/m programming header for use with the Prop Plug USB to Serial converter, and lots of jumper wires.
- Passive Components - Include filter capacitors for the voltage regulators, a pull-up resistor for the I2C EEPROM, and parts for an LED power indicator and pushbutton reset switch.
