Recommended for high volume applications or those with limited PCB real estate, the BASIC Stamp 1 (SSOP) interpreter chip can be used on your own PCB as an OEM solution. All of the features that you have grown to appreciate in the corresponding BASIC Stamp 1 module are available through using an OEM design. The three main components needed to build your own BASIC Stamp are the PBASIC Interpreter Chip as shown on this page, EEPROM, and resonator. We also offer the interpreter in a through-hole package (#PBASIC1/P).
Features:
- Supports PBASIC 1.0
- Small footprint on PCB
- Package Type: 20-pin SSOP
Key Specifications:
- Power Requirements: 2.5 to 5.5 VDC
- Communication: N/A
- Dimensions: 0.284 x 0.309 x 0.073 in (7.20 x 7.85 x 1.85 mm
- Operating Temperature: -40 to +185 °F (-40 to +85 °C)

Note: The 20-pin SSOP package of this chip has a different pinout than the 18-pin DIP package; pay close attention to the package shown in schematics and refer to Microchip datasheet for PIC16C56A for pinout information.
