The RC-4 is a perfect companion to the EFX Controller Board. If you need to control 110VAC loads, you can now do so safely with the EFX Controller Board and the RC-4. Three conductor cables (also available from Parallax) safely commute the low-voltage command signal to the solid state relay (SSR). Small but bright LEDs indicate which loads are "hot". The RC-4 board supports the popular Crydom D2W series of SSR. These relays can switch 2A @ up to 240 VAC, though it is recommended that you design your system to use 110VAC instead. Mounting holes accommodate #6 size screws to keep this board affixed securely. Large screw terminals accommodate up to #14 AWG wire. Always remember that electric shock can be lethal, especially when working with high-voltage circuits. Always use precaution to ensure safety when working with electrical circuits/devices.
