The FT245BM USB to Parallel FIFO interface chip converts USB to an 8 bit bidirectional parallel FIFO interface. Typically used as an easy way to connect a microcontroller to USB. The 245BM is state machine based and no firmware required. Capable of data transfer rates of up to 1 MByte / second.
Lead-free parts are available upon request. FTDI can supply these to us for the same cost and we can deliver them to you upon special order. To order lead-free parts call our sales staff (888) 512-1024 or by e-mail. Lead-free FTDI chips are not available on-line. Lead-free parts will have a longer lead time (perhaps a few weeks). Be sure to use our surface-mount reflow profile for lead-free FTDI chips.
