The ADC0834 is an 8-bit A/D converter. Serial I/O facilitates easy interfacing with shift registers or microcontrollers, such as the BASIC Stamp family. These ADCs have 4 analog input channels, and the differential analog voltage input allows offsetting the analog zero input voltage level. The voltage reference input can also be adjusted to allow encoding for any smaller analog voltage span to the full 8 bits of resolution. With a single 5v power supply a 0v to 5v input range is possible. This IC has a 32 µs conversion time. This ADC is in a 14 pin DIP package.
