How a BASIC Stamp is Made

All Parallax BASIC Stamp modules are manufactured at our Rocklin, California office.
- Circuit boards are loaded into a silk screening frame.
- Loaded circuit boards are then silk screened with solder paste.
- A Pick & Place machine places the electronic components onto the freshly silk screened board.
- Every microcontroller is then visually inspected to ensure that the components were properly installed onto the board.
- After inspection the board is sent through a reflow oven to solder the pieces on the board.
- Boards are then washed and cut apart prior to their final stage where legs (pins) are attached.
After this process is complete each BASIC Stamp microcontroller is tested and packaged then sent to the warehouse where it will sit until it is ordered and processed for shipping.
