Parallax Booth, California State Fair, Sacramento Ca.
Parallax was recently invited to the 2008 California State Fair to display some it's projects and state of the art products. Our booth was located in Bldg 5 among various projects designed and built by students, engineers and hobbyists who have used Parallax products in their own designs. Our goal for this event was to bring a team of engineers, technicians and educators to display many of the various projects and products that have been developed here at Parallax. We wanted to have a fun interactive environment for visitors to allow a hands on experience. If you had a chance to visit the booth you may have battled in the Sumo ring or steered your tilt controlled Boe Bot around the Industrial Technology and Education building. 
Items on display at the Parallax booth:
- QuadRover
- Sumo Bot with Competition Ring
- GPS, PING, Accelerometer, Temperature, Color and Light, Tilt activated, Pressure and other sensors
- Hydra Game Console featuring the Propeller Chip
- Boe Bot robots with Crawler kit, tilt controllers and various other accessories
 Many visitors had the chance to meet with our staff (Andy Lindsay, Dave Andreae, Josh Donelson, David Carrier, Kevin McCullough and Stephanie Lindsay) to discuss projects on display, even get advice on how they might pursue a project of their own. For those without projects in mind we had several kits on display to help get started.
Also on display at the Industrial Technology and Education building was the winning project from Toni Abney. Toni won the 2008 California State Fair Closed Caption Award. Here is Toni with our very own Andy Lindsay explaining the concept behind her award winning project. This is Toni's second time winning an award using Parallax products
