The Stamps in Class Educational Series is developed around the BASIC Stamp 2 microcontroller. Carefully designed to be applicable to a wide range of students, this series is used in technology and pre-engineering programs in middle and high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities around the world.
The Propeller Education Program is built around the Parallax Propeller chip, which features eight 32-bit processors and a shared memory and system clock, making true independent and cooperative simultaneous multi-tasking possible. A great way to introduce college students to object-oriented programming and cutting-edge multiprocessor technology at once.

If you specify Parallax hardware as a requirement for your class, we can build a custom kit in minimum quantities of 20 units if you would like to deviate from our standard guides and parts kits. The custom kits are maintained on a separate web page which allows us to honor the educational/quantity discount on your order. Bookstores may also buy the hardware on a resale arrangement. Parallax Educator's Forum: We maintain a free, private forum especially for educators, where they can ask questions and share their experiences with using Parallax products in their classrooms. In addition, Supplemental Educational Materials are posted here. To enroll in the Parallax Educator's forum, please email education@parallax.com for directions; proof of status as an educator will be required.
Supplemental Educational Materials: These resources, posted in the Parallax Educator's Forum, are exclusively for use by teachers. Select Parallax educational texts have a supplemental set of unpublished questions and solutions; we invite educators to copy, paste and modify this material at will for the quick preparation of homework, quiz, and test material. In addition, you may find Power Point presentations and test materials prepared by other educators posted to the forum.
Copyright Permissions for Educational Use: Our Stamps in Class books, BASIC Stamp Manual, Propeller Manual, and Propeller Education Labs are all available as free pdf downloads, and may be duplicated as long as it is for educational use with Parallax products and the student is charged no more than the cost of duplication. No site license is required for the download, duplication and installation of Parallax software for educational use on as many school or student computers as needed.
