Parallax Inc. is a privately held company located in Rocklin, California. Parallax designs and manufactures microcontroller development tools and small single-board computers. Our current product line consists of BASIC Stamp microcontrollers and development software, SX chips and programmers/debuggers, Propeller chips and tools, project boards, robotics kits, educational tools, and sensors.
Parallax's mission is to provide the electronics industry with products that are technically innovative, unique, and economical. This is achieved by a combination of thoughtful, creative design and quality workmanship. To this end, Parallax employees are expected to operate with impeccable integrity. This means being proactive and accountable for one’s responsibilities, being honest at all times, and being courteous to all. Can you remember a time before Parallax Inc? Well sure we could too, but we don't like to dwell on it too long. Many of our customers ask about the origins of Parallax Inc, and we'd like to shed some light upon this subject. Back before the Parallax of today existed, there was a very small shop, run out of an apartment.
